Here’s our newest update from Andy Sallmon, on location in the Cocos Islands-

“Greetings from Cocos Island!  I have bad news and good news - we’ll start with the bad….

The stormy weather has not let up at all! The sky is dark (night diving during the day, anyone?), and the wind and rain have been nonstop.  This has made for some interesting panga rides…and we are very limited as to where we can dive and have been sticking to the sheltered sites of Manuelita. 

However, the very good news is that Manuelita has delivered some awesome Cocos action - we have seen tons of giant frogfish (both adults and juveniles, all colors), the hammerhead cleaning stations have been incredibly busy, and diver Alex Lemon was passed by a tiger shark just yesterday! Hopefully, the weather will let up enough to allow us to get to some different sites, but in the meantime, we’ve got plenty to see (and shoot) at Manuleita.”
